RCTV Memoria continues its mission to restore lives through comprehensive care and trauma rehabilitation. Our new project, "Crisis Support and Rehabilitation Services for Ukrainian Refugees and Victims of GBV from Moldova" is a lifeline for those affected by war and violence in the region.
What We Aim to Do: With support from CWS Moldova, we will provide essential services to over 2,250 individuals , including Ukrainian refugees and survivors of gender-based violence , between March 2023 and February 2024, pro-longed till June 30, 2024.
Our efforts are focused on:
- Mental Health & Psychosocial Support (MHPSS): Counseling, psychotherapy, trauma assessment, psychoeducation, group support, and healing activities.
- Medical Assistance: Free consultations, treatments, external referrals, and vital medication.
- Crisis Support: Multipurpose cash and voucher assistance for housing, food, hygiene, and emergency needs.
- Staff Well-being & Development: Capacity building, in-house training, and burnout prevention for our dedicated team.
Our project will help:
- Ukrainian women, children, and adults with chronic illnesses or PTSD
- Survivors of GBV from Moldova and other countries
- Refugees and asylum seekers affected by war, torture, or political persecution
Why This Matters: The humanitarian crisis in Ukraine and the region has left many deeply traumatized. This project is more than aid , it's a commitment to rebuilding lives with empathy, medical care, mental health support, and dignity.
